“Would You Like Fries With That?”

November 5, 2009

I have been looking for a job for about a month now. I have tried my regular call center and healthcare routes, but I have not gotten any responses yet. I really am considering working at a fast food restaurant.
There is nothing wrong with working at fast food restaurants. I think it is honorable to work. I think if you or your family needs money, you should do whatever you have to do to make sure you are financially secure.
So, I am going to start pounding the pavement tomorrow. I am going to borrow John’s truck, and I am going to go around to some places locally to see what I can find.
I have still been keeping the house tidy. It has been a bit harder to do because my back has been killing me since my wreck. I am doing things that can be completed sitting down like folding laundry.
I am actually going to finish folding said laundry, so I will have to post more later!

“Would You Like Some Cheese to Go With That Whine?”

November 4, 2009

It is day 1 without a car. If I had a car I would still be sitting at home watching cheesy court shows, and I would be content to do so. Now that I do not have a car I am for some reason bored out of my brains! I wish someone would come over and visit!
My dad came over to visit. It was so sweet because he brought me lunch and these flowers.

It was nice to visit with him.

I did not feel too bad after the wreck yesterday, but today I feel like the Tin Man. I am all stiff and achy. Hopefully I will feel better tomorrow! I am out of things to whine about, so I will end this post.

Aww man…

So, I was driving to apply for a job at some place called Taco Mamacita, and I wrecked my car. I was looking for my next street to turn, and I totally did not notice that I was approaching an intersection with a red light. I was supposed to stop, but instead I plowed into a car.
My car is pretty messed up, but luckily I have car insurance. I feel like crap, but I think I will live. I just feel embarrassed about the whole incident.
Not having a car is going to hinder my job search. So if anyone wants to be my personal driver, hit me up!
This is the end of this post; my pain pills are kicking in. Over and out!

Here is a picture of a picture of the damage to my car. Poor Kia!

The picture are really fuzzy, but you get the idea.

Cleaning, Caroling, and Other Tuesday Ramblings

November 3, 2009

To keep myself busy while I am waiting for a job, I have decided to start keeping house. I have never been much of a house cleaner, but I figured this will keep me busy and make my house look nice! So far I have cleaned the living room. Here is my work so far.

I have a few other things to tidy up then I am going to move on to the bathroom. Ugh. That should be loads of fun. Not!

On a more interesting note I went to a sneak peek of Disney’s A Christmas Carol last night. It was a preety good movie. The animation was beautiful, but there were not as many 3D effects as I had expected.
I am not usually a Jim Carey fan, but I found him charming in this movie. The other characters were likable as well, but sometimes they looked weird. It is hard to explain what exactly was weird about them; I think it was something with their eyes. Sometimes they looked blind because they had an odd far away look on their face.
The Disney interpretation of the story was good but I felt it lacked originality, it was very much like every other telling of the story I have seen. Over all I enjoyed the movie. It is rated PG, but I would not recommend it for small children. A few scenes were kind of creepy!

Job Search, Job Smirch

November 2, 2009

I have been officially on the hunt for a job for about three weeks now. I have applied for quite a few jobs through Craigslist today, and a few other jobs throughout these past couple weeks. I have had one call back. I got myself all excited, but I think they were just calling to get information to complete the the application. I have not heard anything since then. I am hopeful that I will hear something from someone soon.

Since I do not have a job I have taken to staying up late. It is now close to 3:30 AM, and I am still awake. I am going to pay the price in a few hours because I have to take one of my cats to the vet.
My poor cat Leroy is going to be neutered. I hate taking animals to get fixed. I know it is a necessary evil, but I feel horrible when I have to drop them off. I know the horror that awaits them behind the swinging doors; the cat does not. It is like I am playing a mean trick on them.
Here is a picture of Leroy before surgery. He looks so peaceful. I hate to think of what the after shot will look like.

So, this is probably the most uneventful blog ever written. However I am going to post it because it is my blog, and I can do what I want! Nah nah boo boo! 😉 Goodnight or rather good morning eveyone! I hope to have more excited things to post later today!
